If only I could hear the birds sing in the middle of the night. Cause that's when it would help to hear them. Instead this silence deafens me, Suffocates me in the dark. Plays the melancholy song on repeat, Melding into My anthem, My lullaby. Locks me in that padded room Alone with my destructive thoughts. I'm chained to this rabid mind. Swimming with piranhas, Preying on my fleeting time. Swallowed by this sea An emotional shipwreck Sunken by this sullen heart. Hi there. I haven't been on my deviant account lately because of some family issues...so I just saw this post. I am beyond flattered that you draw inspiration from things that i've written. I know what it is to feel down and out, believe me. If you've read any of my poems you know that I have quite a pessimistic view of the world. It gets better, and if you just stick with your writing it will get better too. I find that avid reading is the most helpful tool in becoming better a better writer. Anywho, I hope you get to feeling better and I will try to post some more, i've been neglecting my writing lately because of all the stuff that's been going on in my life. I want to say sincerely, swallowing my pride to make things right. I'm terribly sorry for ever having said that to you. I just didn't know how to reply after you practically ripped my heart out and made me feel less than what I already was. Im finding myself, making my troubled past better. Things just don't feel right without talking to you. Without getting your input on my problems and viceversa. I don't deserve your forgiveness but i hope you can find it in you to do so. No one can say I didn't try...
